It is arguably the most popular drink in Cuba and in all Cuban communities around the world.
Not a single meal is complete without a total strong aromatic drink.
Traditionally, this drink is brewed in a special coffee maker. The secret is that the first few drops of coffee are mixed with
Demerara sugar and hammered into a thick brown foam.
After the main drink is ready, it is poured into a mug and the foam rises up.
How to prepare:
- Mix ground coffee and cane sugar in a portafilter
- Make an espresso coffee
- Add some milk as desired
- Serve in a 50 mg espresso cup
